Product Description:

tesa® 54657 die-cutters are manufactured from high-quality fabric coated with a natural rubber adhesive compound. This product, optimized for the requirements of the automotive industry, is designed for covering holes that require excellent sealing combined with very good flexibility and temperature resistance.

Excellent resistance to temperatures up to 180°C
Excellent compatibility with complex geometries
Safe adhesion on almost any surface
Low VOC according to VDA 278 analysis
Good compatibility with paint and UBC (PVC)
Good resistance to chemicals
Good mechanical properties with respect to abrasion, puncture and aging resistance
Possibility to change the position of the die-cutter

Main applications:

tesa® 54657 is suitable for a variety of applications in covering holes in the automotive manufacturing process.
Example applications:
- After plating, when good compatibility between UBC (PVC) and sealant is required, e.g., floor pan, wheel recesses, engine compartment
- Before painting, when good compatibility with paint is essential
- On the assembly line, for sealing external holes in any part of the body, e.g. pillars, rocker, front/rear floor

According to VDA 278 analysis, tesa® 54657 tape does not contain any substances restricted by GB (China) regulations or the indoor concentration guidelines of the Japanese Automotive Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry (MHLW).
