Our History

1997

Foundations Outside the Tape Industry

EKO-TECH began in 1997 as Eko-Tech Marek Jelonek, with a business focus far removed from adhesive tapes. The company’s transformation started years later, shaped by vision, ambition, and a return home.

2003

First Steps into Adhesive Tapes

In 2003, after returning from Germany, Marek Jelonek set a new course for the business — becoming a wholesaler of adhesive tapes. The model was purely distribution, supplying products to the market without in-house converting capabilities.

2013

Turning Point: Converting Takes Center Stage

A major milestone came in 2013 with the construction of our new facility and installation of the first log slitting machine. This marked the shift from distribution to dedicated converting. From that point forward, our mission became clear: invest in advanced converting machinery and become a unique technological leader in our region.

2013 – 2019

Strategic Partnerships & Growth

Our focus on cutting-edge technology was matched by strong supplier partnerships, including Gottlieb Binder GmbH, M&K Filze, and YAESU Keikogyo Ltd. In 2015, we became an official tesa distributor — and shortly after, a tesa Converter. This rapid development led to Platinum Converter status, positioning EKO-TECH as the go-to converting partner for tesa products in Eastern Europe.
In 2019, we expanded our network further by starting a cooperation with 3M, adding another global leader to our portfolio.
