3M™ Thinsulate™ Acoustic Insulation TAI3027 is a lightweight, low-density (15 kg/m³) non-woven acoustic mat engineered for high-performance sound absorption in automotive interiors. With a thickness of 21 mm and a basis weight of 330 g/m², this material fills space effectively while delivering outstanding compressibility and recovery.

Its internal structure blends ultra-fine PP fibers for high-energy absorption with thicker PE fibers that provide loft and strength. A white polypropylene scrim reinforces one side for durability and abrasion resistance. This mat delivers consistent, long-term NVH performance across a variety of curved or flat surfaces.
